A review from the goodly Ms Poppy Silver
As I wait for the Cortisone that streaming through my veins to take effect on the allergens creating extra t-cells that my body fights against due to the pollens in the air during this time of year, I wonder why do I stay here?
Each year at the same time of year I suffer, I become ill, more than hay fever, an illness that befuddles my head, making thought a muddy affair….
Today we put to sleep little Tiger after finding her half alive and struggling for life from what looks like a snake bite….
RIP my little friend
I think I have a few of these covered now just need to work on others

Today my family and I attend the funeral of a young man who was a friend of my son and a part of this small community. Who's mother has suffered to much tragic loss in the last 6 months. Today that is who I pay my respect to. Today I stop and think how valuable this short life we experience is. I pause to think how valuable we are to each other as we steal memories as we pass and remember.
Last Friday morning I sat here and listened to the radio about a car accident where a fatality occurred, I realised I would have to drive past the scene. As I passed the car was being removed and what a mess it was, little did I know I would receive a call from my mate telling me I knew the young driver who was a good mate of my son , they grew up together.
Such a tragic loss, 20 years of age, still yet to live and a mother who had just months earlier lost her husband tragically as well.
Th young people in this community have lost several close friends over the last few years to car accidents, will they ever learn?
Unfortunately not.
RIP Eamon
Last night at 8.55pm we experienced a 5.3 earthquake located by the looks of it 10 k away, It fairly shook the house and did some localised damaged but nothing major
The red dots show the tremor epicentres the bigger one was the 5.3 the two smaller where 3.2
Some say Ive got a great job, yes some bits are great, working and meeting fantastic people helping young people, but then there are days where no matter the amount of planning git goes not as planned. I get half way to my destination to train someone and they contact me they have to work, no probs but hell Ive just travelled 100ks , so may as well stay in town for the day.
I come home early and find the dog in the middle of the road, looks like he’s part monkey as he has scaled a 5 foot fence.
Got some of my Diploma homework out of the way as i had time to kill
Well okay sometimes it does work out
Cheers all
Well after working Saturday I get a day off, so what did I do, not a lot, discovered my rechargeable batteries on my drills are dead and no power adaptor available…. Fixed up where dog is getting out… and bludged here on the internetz.
Maybe I should have done a lot of things, maybe like go for a walk in the cool brisk air, maybe look for a new job, maybe maybe just chillax and prep up for the week of travelling I have again
Monday Open Link Night so head on over and check my poem over at agiannini.com
Well had a top lunch in the city with my volunteers doing me proud, some great people helping kids….
Today was up very early to help Dillon get to soccer, a 7-1 win for his side, and he played real well showing some of his old skill, I see him as wasted in the Resi side and needs to change clubs… but up to him
Apart from that not much really as usual, weather is cold n miserable so inside I stayed
I must write more and will once I get the hang of all this as Im using MacJournal part of a bundle of mac apps I picked up

The Grollo tower the tallest building in Oz if not the Southern hemisphere
And so today I go to Melbourne, again, on a Saturday, yup for work, all for a 2 hour lunch. This job drives me insane with all these bullshit trips to Melbourne as its 2 hours + travel on a train (as its easier than driving). I do need another job however there is not a lot around agin here in Gippsland and work opportunities will be getting worse, with the State Liberal Govt cutting funding across the board.
I was going to travel this weekend to Townsville where my new friends up there where going to take me to a game of Rugby, which Id never seen live, I wish I had gone……
Just got Mac Journal as part of a cheap as package of software so simply testing it all

Sons of the Southern Cross
By Adrian AIDZ Giannini ©2012
We fight
We die
We laugh
We cry together
Mateship is our bond
Courage forged
Under the Sun and stars
Worn proud in our heart
Through drought
Disaster
And war
We stand tall
Called to help
When a brothers in need
Not just our own
All our brothers of the world
Together we stand
Proud to be of this land
This earth at out feet
Beneath the southern cross
